Low Pressure R6 and R3 Hose Manufacturer in India

Mangla Rubber Industries manufactures low pressure hydraulic hose to SAE 100 R6 and SAE 100 R3. R6 uses a single textile braid and R3 two textile braids over an oil-resistant synthetic rubber tube, giving 200 to 1,500 psi depending on grade and bore. With no steel reinforcement they are light, very flexible and economical, the right choice for fuel lines, lubrication, anti-freeze circulation and low-pressure return circuits.

Low Pressure R6 and R3 Hose Specifications
| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Standard | SAE J517 100 R6 (single textile braid) · SAE 100 R3 (two textile braids) |
| Inner tube | Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR) |
| Reinforcement | One textile braid (R6) or two textile braids (R3), no steel wire |
| Cover | Oil, weather and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber |
| Bore range | 3/16″ to 1″ |
| Working pressure | R6: 200 to 1,000 psi · R3: 300 to 1,500 psi, size dependent |
| Burst pressure | 4× working pressure minimum |
| Temperature range | −40 °C to +100 °C |
| Fluids | Diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil, anti-freeze, air, water |
| Supply | Bulk coils, cut lengths and crimped assemblies |
Textile reinforcement has far less burst margin than steel wire, so R6 and R3 must not be used where pressure spikes occur. If your circuit surges when a valve closes, step up to SAE 100 R1 with a single wire braid.
Why Plants and Distributors Choose Mangla Low Pressure R6 and R3 Hose
- Light and very flexible with a tight bend radius, where wire-braid hose would be unnecessarily stiff.
- Economical for the many low-pressure circuits that do not need steel reinforcement.
- Oil-resistant nitrile tube suited to diesel, lubricating oil and anti-freeze.
- Bulk coil and cut-to-length supply with volume pricing for distributors and maintenance stores.
- Manufactured in Ghaziabad, Delhi NCR since 1983.
Applications
- Fuel and diesel delivery lines on engines and equipment
- Lubrication and oil circulation lines
- Anti-freeze and coolant circulation
- Low-pressure hydraulic return and drain lines
- Pneumatic control and instrumentation air lines
- Agricultural and workshop auxiliary circuits
Couplings and End Fittings
Supplied with crimped one-piece fittings in BSP, NPT, JIC 37° and metric DIN threads, plus reusable field-attachable fittings where remote servicing matters. Because textile braid is softer than wire, the crimp specification differs from R1 and R2. Use the ferrule and die set matched to the hose.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is SAE 100 R6 hose?
A low pressure hydraulic hose with a single textile braid over an oil-resistant nitrile tube, rated roughly 200 to 1,000 psi by bore. It has no steel reinforcement, so it is light and flexible but has far less burst margin than wire-braid hose.
What is the difference between R6 and R3?
R6 has one textile braid and R3 has two, so R3 carries a higher working pressure, roughly 300 to 1,500 psi against 200 to 1,000 psi. Both use textile rather than steel reinforcement.
Is R6 suitable for hydraulics?
Only for low-pressure auxiliary circuits such as fuel, lubrication, anti-freeze and return lines. It should not be used where pressure spikes occur; those circuits need SAE 100 R1 or R2.
Can R6 hose carry diesel?
Yes. The nitrile tube is oil and fuel resistant, so R6 suits diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil and anti-freeze. It is not suitable for acids, alkalis or aromatic solvents.
