High Pressure Hose SAE 100 R2 Manufacturer in India

High Pressure Hose SAE 100 R2 by Mangla Rubber Industries

Mangla Rubber Industries manufactures SAE 100 R2 high pressure hydraulic hose to SAE J517 and EN 853 2SN. Two high-tensile steel wire braids over an oil-resistant nitrile tube give working pressures from 400 bar at 1/4″ down to 78 bar at 2″, with a 4:1 burst safety factor. Supplied by the coil or as crimped assemblies with BSP, NPT, JIC, ORFS or metric DIN ends, for excavators, backhoe loaders, presses, tippers and industrial hydraulics.

SAE 100 R2 Hose Specifications

Specification Detail
Standard SAE J517 100 R2AT · EN 853 2SN · DIN 20022 2SN
Inner tube Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR)
Reinforcement Two braids of high-tensile steel wire
Cover Oil, weather, ozone and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber
Bore range 1/4″ to 2″ (6.4 mm to 50.8 mm)
Working pressure 5,800 psi (400 bar) at 1/4″ down to 1,125 psi (78 bar) at 2″
Burst pressure 4× working pressure minimum
Temperature range −40 °C to +100 °C
Fluids Mineral hydraulic oil, petroleum fluids, lubricating oil, diesel, air, water
Supply Bulk coils, cut lengths, or crimped and pressure-tested assemblies

Working pressure falls as bore rises, and must be de-rated above +70 °C, roughly 85% at +80 °C, 70% at +90 °C and 50% at +100 °C. Ask us for the size-wise pressure and burst chart for your application.

Applications

Couplings and End Fittings

Supplied with crimped one-piece fittings in BSP, NPT, JIC 37°, ORFS and metric DIN threads, plus SAE 4-bolt split flange (Code 61 and Code 62) for large-bore connections. ORFS is recommended where vibration or high impulse is present, because the O-ring face seal does not rely on metal deformation. Assemblies are proof tested before despatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the pressure rating of SAE 100 R2 hose?

SAE 100 R2 working pressure runs from 5,800 psi (400 bar) at 1/4″ bore down to 1,125 psi (78 bar) at 2″ bore, with a minimum burst pressure of four times the working pressure in every size.

Is SAE 100 R2 the same as EN 853 2SN?

They are dimensionally and functionally equivalent two wire braid high pressure hydraulic hoses and are routinely cross-specified. SAE 100 R2AT is the American designation; EN 853 2SN is the European one.

When should I use spiral hose instead of R2?

Use four or six spiral hose when the circuit cycles rapidly and continuously, such as rock breakers, drills and harvesters. Braid wires abrade each other under impulse, while parallel spiral layers do not.

Do you supply R2 hose as complete assemblies?

Yes. We supply bulk coils, cut lengths and complete crimped assemblies with fittings matched to our own hose and crimp specification, proof tested before despatch.
