Mid Pressure Hose SAE 100 R1 Manufacturer in India

Mid Pressure Hose SAE 100 R1 by Mangla Rubber Industries

Mangla Rubber Industries manufactures SAE 100 R1 medium pressure hydraulic hose to SAE J517 and EN 853 1SN. A single high-tensile steel wire braid over an oil-resistant nitrile tube gives working pressures from 224 bar at 1/4″ down to 26 bar at 2″, with a 4:1 burst safety factor. More flexible and lighter than two-braid hose, it is the standard choice for tractor lift circuits, return lines and steering.

Inner tube Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR)
Reinforcement One braid of high-tensile steel wire
Cover Oil, weather and abrasion resistant synthetic rubber
Bore range 1/4″ to 2″ (6.4 mm to 50.8 mm)
Working pressure 3,250 psi (224 bar) at 1/4″ down to 375 psi (26 bar) at 2″
Burst pressure 4× working pressure minimum
Temperature range −40 °C to +100 °C (+121 °C intermittent on air)
Minimum bend radius 90 mm at 1/4″ to 630 mm at 2″
Fluids Mineral hydraulic oil, diesel, lubricating oil, air, water

Choose R1 where system peaks stay below about 60% of the R1 rating for your bore; above that, specify SAE 100 R2. Pressure must also be de-rated above +70 °C.

Applications

Couplings and End Fittings

Supplied with crimped one-piece fittings in BSP, NPT, JIC 37° and metric DIN threads. R1AT has a thin cover, so fittings grip the wire braid directly without skiving. Assemblies are proof tested before despatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the pressure rating of SAE 100 R1 hose?

SAE 100 R1 working pressure runs from 3,250 psi (224 bar) at 1/4″ bore down to 375 psi (26 bar) at 2″ bore, with a minimum burst pressure of four times working pressure.

What does R1AT mean?

R1AT is the thin-cover version of SAE 100 R1. The thinner cover allows one-piece crimp fittings to grip the wire braid without skiving, and the dimensions match EN 853 1SN.

Can SAE 100 R1 be used for diesel?

Yes. The nitrile inner tube is oil and fuel resistant, so R1 suits diesel, petroleum hydraulic fluid, lubricating oil, air and water. It is not suitable for acids, alkalis or aromatic solvents.

When should I move from R1 to R2?

When system pressure peaks exceed roughly 60% of the R1 rating for your bore. Running R1 near its ceiling causes impulse fatigue failure, usually at the fitting.
